WARNING….. if you google the items that you are bidding on, after you pay a 5 doller processing fee plus a shipping fee that is diffrent for each item you end up paying full price for the item that you are bidding on. If you don;t believe me just google the item you are bidding on!!! The gift cards have a five doller processing fee plus a shipping fee….. almost impossiable to get!!!! rip off Kelly

I, too, am not fond, at all, of the handling / processing charges…$4.99 per auction, especially when paying for bids. It just doesn’t add up as a bidder. However using promo bids, sometimes it’s a bit beneficial.
So far I have experienced super, fast shipping, have received all wins (a +++++), and have had really good customer service.

P.S. I shouldn’t say “…sometimes it’s a bit beneficial” because it’s usually not. It’s just a little more tolerable when bidding with promo bids vs. cash bids.

I won two prizes fr a penny I was charged $10 fir shipping for each and $5 for handling.

  5. penny-auction-expert May 5, 2012 at 6:46 am #

    Hey Cheryl,

Their shipping fees and auction fees continue to increase exponentially. We’re very disappointed with this.

Don’t waste your time and money on this. I won a juice extractor. shipping $12.99….auction fee $69.99 that equals $82.99 that I have to pay to get the item. Same exact item at Amazon.com $47.99 with free shipping. I am not an idiot, and I’m pretty sure you people are not either.

Ibid2save is the worst site I have seen yet

High auction fees added to item after you win

Never get the item you paid for

Customer Service is ROTTED never answer anything

THEY DON’T EVEN CARE ABOUT THE 1000′S OF UNHAPPY CUSTOMES

I do not like the fact just say i bid on a tablet. i must pay a 119.00 auction fee.A 12.99. shipping fee a handling fee then the price i won with just say $125.00
well now my total so far is $256.99 plus just say $5.00 for handling that is $261.99. But wait there is more. Say the bids i used to win was $125.00 (which is about right) i have now spend dollar wise is $386.91 was it worth it i think not besides you must wait almost 3 weeks to get your items and if you are like me i had to call them and a say send them please.
i sorta stay away from ibid2save now.

WARNING…….the Ibid2save auction site is a complete RIP OFF. I used “Buy it Now” and won a total of 13 auctions for $20.00 gift cards each for a total of $260.00 worth of Gift Cards. Every single auction was paid for. I NEVER RECEIVED A SINGLE GIFT CARD that I paid for. They did not reply to my emails or phone calls. They simply RIPPED ME OFF big time. If you like being RIPPED OFF this auction site is for you.

do you have to have pay pal or any kind of credit card

  11. Josh February 20, 2013 at 4:26 pm #

    Hi Sandy,

I think iBid2save requires either one or the other. Let us know if you have additional questions or feel free to contact them directly: http://ibid2save.zendesk.com/home

This site is dumb i won a couple things for 1 cent and it was a 13 dollar au tio. Fee and a 5 dollar ship fee. Looking a t a laptop that I’m bidding in not it is up to 100$ and the auction fee is 64.00 Nd shipping fee is 24.99 that is a about 200 dollars which is about retail price on the whole thing. It is pointless!!!!!! If i didn’t get 325 bids for free i would be highly upset.

  13. Josh February 27, 2013 at 8:42 am #

    Devin,

This is a common and fair complaint against iBid2save. Choose your auctions wisely to avoid some of the more ridiculous fees.

I bought what was supposed to be a white gold neckless but when i took it to a pawn shop to see if it was really white gold they tested it and told me it was sterling silver. its a complete rip off

  15. ricp7357 April 10, 2013 at 4:49 pm #

I, being a user of the aforementioned site can honestly state that it’s a true rip-off. They add an auction fee of 10%, shipping and handling and who knows what else. Bottom line, if you search out the item you want, you’ll find it for less on ebay or amazon. I’m surprised the agencies have’nt forced these folks out of buisness. I would think that folks would get together and form a class action suit against these folks.

  16. reggie May 4, 2013 at 1:18 pm #

complete rip off, they wait forever to deliver, the fees are out of line, and if you complain, they deactivate your account

  17. Piqutchi May 8, 2013 at 2:10 pm #

If I choose not to pay for an auction I won, will there be any legal consequences?

I was not aware of the high fees for winning each auction before making my bid. I do not have the means to pay for my auction (neither do I want to pay for it, for that matter).

  18. Josh May 8, 2013 at 3:38 pm #

There aren’t any legal consequences…you just forfeit your win. If you’re going to play at iBid2Save, you should bid on items with a low “auction value” fee ($20 giftcards, for example).

THEY ARE RIPPING PEOPLE I BID ON A $500 TREASURE CHEST AND I GOT 1 PLASTIC PIZZA CUTER 1 PLASTIC CREDIT CARD HOLDER 1 SPATULA PLASTIC 2 PLASTIC CLIPS THEY SAID WAS ALL OF IT WAS VALUED AT $87.00 REST OF $500.00 WAS FOR BIDS BY THE TIME I PAID AUCTION FEE OF $54.00 AND SHIPPING I PAID FOR EVERYTHING AND THEY MADE A PROFIT THIS WAS ALL DOLLAR STORE ITEMS AND I TOLD THEM SO AND I ALSO TOLD THEM THEY WERE RIPPING PEOPLE OFF WHICH THEY REPLIED THEY WERE NOT I ALSO SAID I WOULD BE FILING A COMPLAINT WHICH THEY SAID THEY WOULD FIGHT SO TELL EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY FROMTREASURE CHEST AND MYTERY BAGS STAY WITH GIFT CARDS ONLY

  20. Zach October 15, 2013 at 8:27 am #

Holy shit! ibid2save is such a rip off! They are playing people and I cant believe they are getting away with it! I just read the comment from iona about the treasure chest thing. How the hell can they do that? GO buy cheap dollar store items like plastic spatulas and stupid shit like that, and play it off like it is worth $87? Thats ridiculous! They probably spent $5 at the store and then turned around, charged you $10 for your bids, $10 for an “auction fee” (which is stupid!), and $10 for shipping and handling. They are scam artists! It is obviously a scam. How the hell could they afford to be giving people $200 items for only pennies? THey wouldnt be in business anymore! Things that sound too good to be true, are too good to be true! Don’t fall for this scam, or any of those stupid penny auction scam sites!

  21. Got Had October 30, 2013 at 6:35 pm #

I also bought a “Treasure Chest”. It was a rip off. I got about $15.00 or so of flea market junk. Nothing of any value as advertised. In addition, they advertise products on TV that were bought on the site that they don’t even offer. The price of the objects is blown way out of whack so they can charge ridiculous fees for the auction. I think they say 10%. It is obvious to me that they are not selling in good faith and they can keep my bids and out them, well I am sure you know where!

  22. Carole January 13, 2014 at 9:14 am #

The reason why this website doesn’t work is because you are charged .60 cents for promo bids added on to each auction whether you want to buy promo bids or not. This increases the price of the auction as well as the auction fee. By the time you pay for a $20 gift card, plus shipping, handling, auction fee and the promo bids/cash bids you used, it is cheaper to just spend $20 at the store.

I found their customer service reps courteous but not helpful. If you make an error, tough luck.

Im soooo glad i googled the question “whats in a treasure chest at i bid2 save”. I just joined and couldnt believe no one was bidding on items like cruise trips and 500 restaurant cards and was so tempted to join the bid but i assumed i would be out bid so i left it alone. it wasnt until last night i won an auction for an i phone charge stand that i know for sure is not more than 20 dollars they tried to charge me 11 in fees claiming the itm was valued at over 80$$$! RIDICULOUS!!!! Anyhow I kept seeing these treasure chet go with no bidders and decided to go for it, won 2 and the only thing they say is its for home and garden and electronics valued at over 500 dollars. Really? I smell something funny and the costumer response hasn’t replied yet. im tempted just to spend the 47 dollars to get my items and hope they do rip me off cause I just may be the one to sue they ass if so.

Stay away from this site, they do not deliver as promised. Here is my experience.
I got the Beauty Power pack that was advertised with:
    1 Idol Lips
    1 Idol Lash
    1 Eye Cream by Revitol
1 Anti Aging Treatment by Revitol
    450 promo bids
This was listed as a $470 value, I am not sure how they got that number but okay.

First problem was the “Action Fee” of 23.45.. Okay, well I did only spend 61 cents on the bid so sure.

Second problem is that they send you a “Promo code” for a secondary site called Redeem my Product. There that site charged an additional $9.95 for shipping of the product… Okay. well at the bottom of the product description, in the “before you bid section” it does tell me about this “discounted” shipping fee.

Third problem, finally after 3 weeks of waiting (redeem my product said it should take 5-7 business days) I got my product, that is right I said product. As in one item. My package came with the Idol Lash and coupons for discounts on the other 3 beauty products. Coupons by the way, that no one accepts!!

WHat the heck?? I checked and double checked the description on Ibid2Win nothing anywhere says anything about coupons. The only thing it tells us about is the promo code for Redeem My Product.

I called Redeem My Product, they wash their hands of the whole shebang and take absolutely Zero accountability, there is even a section of the FAQ’s called “This Is Not What I Expected / What I Was Told I Would Get” It basically says that They didn’t sell you anything, and that they are not responsible for you getting disappointing products. Basically a fancy paragraph that sums up to saying You Have Been Screwed!

Then I called IBid2Save, after 4 failed attempts, and 2 hours on the please hold, I finally got to talk with someone. She informed me that with my order conformation from Redeem my Product clearly stated that I would be getting coupons. I told her sure I was clearly informed that I would be getting useless colourful pieces of paper, after I had already paid my Auction House fee, and After I had already paid my shipping. If I knew I would only be getting coupons for the other three items, I would have never placed the bid to begin with. The lady then informed me that she is sorry that I misunderstood what I was bidding on, and they do not accept returns nor do they do not give refunds!!!

So in total I paid 34.01 for a product that I could have purchased on EBay, for a dollar more, and would have gotten 2 weeks earlier. but, hey, looking on the bright side I also got useless coupons, and rude customer service. I didn’t even need to leave my home and head to the nearest Wal-Mart…
