We recently interviewed Bidoction.com, a new penny auction website committed to first class customer service. Even though Bidoction is only a few weeks old, they have already established a positive reputation in the penny auction community.

Tell us about Bidoction.
Bidoction started in middle of April 2010. Our primary goal was to provide the penny auction community with an honest and transparent site, where users feel comfortable getting exceptional bargains. Out mission statement reads:
To honestly and ethically conduct a First Class business in a First Class way…
We promise to provide exceptional customer service and products to our customers. At Bidoction, our goal is to maintain the highest ethical standards. We believe that top notch customer service and conducting our business in an honest way is the only path to success.
Since we have opened, we have heard positive comments and suggestions from out users both in the private and public penny auction forums.
How many auctions do you run each day?
We run anywhere from 10 to 30 auctions, depending on the time of the week. On weekends we usually expand our hours to accommodate our users’ schedules and the expanded auction numbers. Our auctions usually run from 3PM to 11PM EST.
Many of your auctions are giftcards. Do you auction other items as well?
Yes, that is correct, we normally offer $25 and $50 “Your Choice” gift cards. We like to give our bidders the flexibility to choose from a large list of brand names. Occasionally we offer cooking gear like ice cream makers and grills. Other items includes some personal electronics, computer peripherals and fashion jewelry. There is no set schedule for these offers, but we try to get these auctions in every once in a while.
How much do bids cost at Bidoction?
Bids cost $0.50 per bid. We have Bid Packs that run from $25 to $500 (50 to 1000 bids).
